Italian Mafioso arrested for feeling ago just out of jail
A robber with a strong history and detained in the past on charges, inter alia, a member of the Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia, was arrested today by Italian police because, he confessed , he was just out of jail.
The mobster, 56, phoned a police station in the city of Lucca, near Florence, where he asked to speak to the head, who said he was tired of his criminal history and his desire to want to confess some their assault, reported the Italian media.
After being located by the police, the criminal agents hugged and said he felt less lonely in prison than outside.
Researchers now try to clarify why the detainee feels safer in prison than in freedom and the potential threats that may be subjected.
According to police, the detainee is a "dangerous serial robber" on the falling accusations of Mafia association, extortion, kidnapping and drug trafficking, among others.
Italian media stated that the detainee was arrested a few years ago for illegal possession of arms and out of jail after he tried to rehabilitate and start a small trade, but to no avail, so he returned to his life of crime.
Among the crimes which he confessed today to the police officers of Lucca is the robbery of a bank branch, when he won a prize of 5,000 euros, and two failed attempts at assault.
